Chapter 7

okay so i think this book boring but this did make me laugh. "And other tasty bits too, we roll our eyes and try to explain with our hands. Leer nearly drowns trying to demonstrate a sausage." yeah, it made me laugh...(: anywayss when the guys went with those girls i was happy. They deserve to have a little fun once and a while. An example that is very touching is when paul is kissing the brunette and it says " I want it all to fall from me, war and terror and grossness, in order to awaken young and happy" that really shows that there's no turning back tp the past of their youths, they are men now and it's all thanks to the war. On top of the struggles of war, when Paul goes to his hometown he finds that his mother has cancer, that's dreadful): and when he jumps when he hears the noise that sounds like shells, it's just heartbraking. I think this chapter overall was just heartbraking...

"The Brunette"(:

  1. i laughed at the same part and agree that they need fun now and again but i didn't find the chapter heartbreaking i think it was more disappointing because Paul had such fond memories of home when he was at the front and now he is going to have to return to the front without those memories so he is not going to have as much to live for.
